Trinity Sunday

Cross

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.  Amen. (The Apostles’ Creed, BCP1979)

Invitatory

Come, let us sing to the Lord:
let shout for joy to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving
and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God:
and a great King above all Gods. (Psalm 95:1-3, BCP1979)

Cruciform

Teach us to know the Father, Son,
and thee, Holy Ghost, to be but One,
that through the ages all along
this may be our endless song:
“Praise to thy eternal merit,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” (BCP 1928, alt.)

Weeks

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me bless his holy name. (Psalm 103:1)

Dimissory

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace,
according to thy word.
For mine eyes have seen the salvation
that thou hast prepared before the face of all people,
to be a light to lighten the Gentiles,
and to be the glory of thy people, Israel. (Nunc dimittis, BCP1979)
