Proper 7 (Third Sunday after Trinity)

Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

We were buried with Christ into death,
that we may rise by his resurrection.
If we have died with Christ, we believe that we also will live with him.
Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again. (Romans 6:4, alt; 6:8-9, NRSV.)

Invitatory

Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord;
sing praise to him and highly exalt him forever.
Bless the Lord, you heavens;
sing praise to him and highly exalt him forever.
Bless the Lord, you angels of the Lord;
sing praise to him and highly exalt him forever.
Bless the Lord, all you waters above the heavens;
sing praise to him and highly exalt him forever.
Bless the Lord, all you powers of the Lord;
sing praise to him and highly exalt him forever.

(Song of the Three Young Men 34-38, NRSV.)

Cruciform

What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light;
and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?
Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
So be not afraid: you are of more value than many sparrows.  (Matthew 10:27, 29, NRSV; 10:31, alt.)

Weeks

Those who find their life will lose it,
and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.  (Matthew 10: 39, NRSV.)

Dimissory

I bless the Lord, who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.
I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  (Psalm 16:7-8, NRSV.)
