Proper 11 (Seventh Sunday after Trinity)

Cross

Oh, God, make speed to save us;
Oh, Lord, make haste to help us.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

(BCP 1979, alt.)

Invitatory

Let your way be known upon earth;
your saving health among all nations.
Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten;
nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
Create in us clean hearts, O God;
and sustain us with your Holy Spirit.

(BCP 1979)

Cruciform

For the creation waits with eager longing
for the revealing of the children of God;
and not only the creation,
but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit,
groan inwardly while we wait for adoption,
the redemption of our bodies.

(Romans 8:19, 23, NRSV.)

Weeks

Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart
to revere your name.

(Psalm 86:11, NRSV.)

Dimissory

For neither is there any god besides you,
whose care is for all people;
for your strength is the source of righteousness,
and your sovereignty over all
causes you to spare all.
Although you are sovereign in strength,
you judge with mildness,
and with great forbearance you govern us;
for you have power to act whenever you choose.
Through such works you have taught your people
that the righteous must be kind,
and you have filled your children with good hope,
because you give repentance for sins.

(Wisdom of Solomon 12:13, 16, 18-19, NRSV.)
