Most merciful God, 
We confess that we have sinned against you<\/strong> 
in thought, word, and deed,<\/strong> 
by what we have done,<\/strong> 
and by what we have left undone.<\/strong> 
We have not loved you with our whole heart;<\/strong> 
We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.<\/strong> 
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.<\/strong> 
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,<\/strong> 
have mercy on us and forgive us;<\/strong> 
that we may delight in your will,<\/strong> 
and walk in your ways,<\/strong> 
to the glory of your name. Amen.<\/strong>

Invitatory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord 
 and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,<\/strong> 
 you will be saved. 
 For with the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness;<\/strong> 
 and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation. 
 For the scripture says,<\/strong>
 \u201cWhoever believes in him will not be disappointed.\u201d<\/strong>
\u2014 Romans 10:9-11<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruciform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days,
being tempted by the devil.
He ate nothing in those days,<\/strong>
and afterward, he was hungry.<\/strong>
The devil said to him, \u201cIf you are the Son of God,
command this stone to become bread.\u201d<\/strong>
Jesus answered him saying, \u201cIt is written,
\u2018You shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.\u2019\u201d<\/strong>

You shall worship the Lord your God,
and you shall serve him only.<\/strong>

Dimissory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.<\/strong> 
I will say of the Lord, \u201cHe is my refuge and my fortress; 
my God, in whom I trust.\u201d<\/strong> 
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, 
and the Most High your dwelling place,<\/strong> 
no evil shall happen to you, 
neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.<\/strong> 
For he will put his angels in charge of you, 
to guard you in all your ways.<\/strong> 
They will bear you up in their hands, 
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.<\/strong> 
You will tread on the lion and cobra. 
You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.<\/strong> 
\u201cBecause he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. 
I will set him on high, because he has known my name.<\/strong> 
He will call on me, and I will answer him. 
I will be with him in trouble.<\/strong>
I will deliver him, and honour him.
I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.\u201d<\/strong>
