The Lord said:
\u201cThe Father loves me, because I lay down my life,
that I may take it again.<\/strong>
No one takes it from me,
but I lay it down by myself.<\/strong>
I have power to lay it down,
and I have power to take it again.<\/strong>
I received this commandment from my Father.\u201d

Invitatory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;<\/strong>
for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant;
from this day all generations will call me bless\u00e8d.<\/strong>
The Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.<\/strong>
He has mercy on those who fear him
throughout all generations.<\/strong>
He has shown the strength of his arm;
