Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;
for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant;
from this day all generations will call me blessèd.
The Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
throughout all generations.
He has shown the strength of his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the humble and meek.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent empty away.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
for he has remembered his promise of mercy:
the promise he made to our forebears,
to Abraham and his seed for ever.
— Magnificat, Luke 1:46-55, from BCP1979

Invitatory

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
My God, I have trusted in you.
Do not let me be ashamed.
Show me your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
All the paths of the Lord are loving kindness and truth
to such as keep his covenant.
— Psalm 25:1-2, 4-5, 7, 10

Cruciform

“Behold, the days come,” says the Lord,
“that I will perform that good word which I have spoken:
in those days and at that time,
I will cause a branch of righteousness to grow up for David.
He will execute justice.
He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.”
— Jeremiah 33:14-15

Weeks

“See the fig tree and all the trees. When they bud,
you see it and know that the summer is near.”
— Luke 21:29-30

Dimissory

For what thanks can we render to God for you —
for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes?
May the Lord make you increase and abound in love towards all
even as we do towards you.
— 1 Thessalonians 3:9, 12

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
